Spotted! At Vodafone Mobile Widget Camp

The first in a series of FileShare HQ in the wild, here’s ace Rails developer (and the man behind the code of FileShare HQ) Elliott Kember (you may know him as @elliottkember) at the Vodafone MobileWidgetCamp, Amsterdam. He’s sporting a great FileShare HQ laptop sticker. Want one? Drop us an email at hello [at] filesharehq [dot] com with your postal address and we’ll be happy to send one, until we run out.

Add your own branding

With the launch of our complete package of pay plans, comes the ability for ‘Business’ level subscribers to alter the branding of FileShare HQ and own the look and feel of the interface for their clients, and users.

Adding your own branding is as simple as uploading your own logo. To make it look really great we’ve even added some tips on the size and background colour you should use for your branding.

Step 1: Log in to your account, select ‘Account Settings’ from the tab menu, and then select ‘Branding’.

Select branding

Step 2: From the Upload a new logo section, choose your logo. Here is where it is best if you have a background of #222222 and a max height of 81px. Don’t worry if you don’t - FileShare HQ will work it out for you.

Step 3: Once you have loaded your logo, the interface branding will change, and you still have the option to upload a new logo, or revert to the default branding at any time.

Here is how the login, and shared file, screens look when you have added your own branding:

This new feature makes FileShare HQ great for businesses wanting a professional solution to sharing large files with clients, staff and suppliers.

Some great user feedback…

It’s always nice to receive some feedback on a new product. Thanks to all the users who have written, tweeted, and commented on FileShare HQ and how it is helping them share and store files.
Here is a great comment that was in the Inbox last night:

FileShareHQ is the web app I’ve been waiting for, providing the exact functionality that I’ve so far been unable to find. As a producer of screencast tutorials, sending large video files to clients has always proven something of a challenge with emails being rejected or taking an age to send. Now with FileShareHQ I can distribute media to my clients in an efficent and secure way. The service is perfect, giving me complete control over my files and who can access them, and a range of different plans. The interface is extremely well designed, and the service is exceptionally easy to use; all in all, it’s a 10 out 10 web app for me.

Thanks Dan - sound’s like the service is working perfectly!
